Election to the Australian Academy of Natural Sciences recognises distinguished achievement and outstanding contribution to the natural sciences. Fellows form the heart of the Academy and guide its work in advancing science for the public good.
The Academy anticipates offering several categories of membership, including Fellows elected in recognition of sustained scientific distinction, and Members who actively contribute to the Academy's mission. Full details will be published as the Fellowship programme is established.
Candidates for Fellowship will be assessed on the basis of original and sustained contribution to the natural sciences, leadership within their field, and service to the broader scientific community. Election is by nomination and review.
The Academy's nomination process is currently being established. Information on how to nominate a candidate, eligibility requirements, and key dates will be announced in due course.
Fellowship nominations are not yet open.
